Question: How do we break tie scores after a tournament?

Answer:

The 1st tie-breaker is the score on the back nine holes minus one-half the handicap.

The 2nd tie-breaker is the score on holes 13 to 18 minus one-third the handicap.

The 3rd tie-breaker is the score on holes 16 to 18 minus one-sixth the handicap.

The 4th tie-breaker is the score on hole 18 minus one-eighteenth the handicap.

If necessary, the sequence is repeated on the front nine.

Question: If I want to sign up for a tournament, or cancel play in a tournament, who do I contact?

Question:  If I want to play with a particular person or persons, who should I contact?

Question: If I have a question about my handicap in a tournament, who should I contact?

Question: If I have a question or want to add something to this Website, who should I contact?

Answer: Ken Greene, the Website Editor.  This site saves the Club postage and handling costs.

Question: How is the East Bay Hacker Golfer of the Year Award determined?
Answer: The winner of a flight in a tournament receives 3 points; 2nd place in the flight receives 2 points; 3rd place receives 1 point.  All of each player's points are added for the season.   At the end of the year, the male player with the most points receives the Male Golfer of the Year Trophy.  Likewise, the female player with the most points receives the Female Golfer of the Year Trophy.  If you have email and Microsoft Excel, and you want a copy of the spreadsheet containing the points calculations, contact Ken Greene at: krgreene@hotmail.com, and I will send you a copy.
